In honor of October being Breast Cancer Awareness Month, the Pinks & Blues Girls are giving away the special BabyDish Hally Bag Pink Ribbon Diaper Bag Survival Kit.
The Hally Bag was created by BabyDish creator Stacie Jordan in memory of her best friend and inspiration Hally Steiner, who lost her battle with breast cancer at 36 years old.
The BabyBeReady Diaper Bag Survival Kit from BabyDish is an ingeniously (are you ready for this?) pre-packed Diaper Bag. That’s right, mamas – pre-packed just for you with 10 essential baby items!
This means that the all-in-one BabyBeReady Diaper Bag includes a onesie, bib, burp cloth, diapers, changing pad, rattle, bottle, sun hat, pacifier with case, and travel wipes with box.
Is this not survival of the most fitting?
And we’re not even half done with the fabulous features.
BabyDish’s BabyBeReady Diaper Bag is compact enough for you to easily carry anywhere (measuring 8.5″ x 14″ closed and 16″ x 14″ open).
It has double plastic overlay, both inside and out, for easy cleaning (we love this because we know that being a mama can get messy).
The Hally Bag Diaper Bag Survival Kit retails at $99.00.
And proceeds from The Hally Bag go to the Dana Farber Cancer Institute, Breast Cancer Research.
The Pinks & Blues Girls also wish to remember Sharon’s beloved cousin and friend Catherine Greynolds Holden (1959-2004), a mom of three who inspired the world with her courage and loving concern for women and children, but who lost her life to breast cancer. We miss Cathy dearly and deeply, but know she is with us today.
**Congratulations to the winner of the BabyDish Pink Ribbon Diaper Bag – Angie from The Wycherly Family!**

Yep, had my exam in the last year
Hey, Thanks for reminding me! This is a great idea! I pledge to make an appointment and I’m going to remind all my friends!
I am really good about doing self-exams monthly. Thanks for the reminder to do this in October, as I haven’t just yet.
To my beautiful daughters Audrey and Jane… my annual exam is on October 17th. I have not missed one year since my cousin Cathy became a tireless advocate for breast cancer awareness. I honor Cathy, her sister Jane, her Mom (my Aunt Joan), my own Mom, all of my loved ones and friends, and you two, my precious daughters… when I take care of myself.
I encourage everyone who reads this post, and enters our Pink Ribbon BabyDish “Hally Bag” Diaper Bag do do the same.
Looking forward to hearing from 500+ ladies out there!
Sharon – Pinks & Blues Girls
Even though breast cancer doesn’t run in my family, I know that that’s not my only line of defense. And, it doesn’t just affect family members when one passes away, as is evidenced in this giveaway. I just had a GYN exam in July, and he checked my breasts and reviewed how to check for lumps. Thanks so much for the reminder.
I have had two scares in the past 5 years and I don’t take BC lightly. I have the card hanging in my shower and I even get my hubby to help me check!!! LOL
We also walk when we can in any BC cancer walks.
Please take the time like I did to do your exams!!!!
Thanks
Did my BSE on October 1st and blogged a reminder!
I will do self monthly exams!
I know I can’t enter the contest! But I pledge. I was checked on Sept. 27th and I plan to pass the news on to all my friends to get examined.

I pledge and will spread the word!!!
I had my annual physical yesterday, with a breast exam. I also do a self exam ever year. I will be shameless and add that I will be doing the Weekend to End Breast Cancer next September, if anyone wants to sponser me:
http://www.endcancer.ca/site/TR/Events/Toronto2008?px=2349485&pg=personal&fr_id=1254
oooooh, I want it! I want it! I want it! Can it please be mine?
I had my annual exam (well woman exam) after I had my baby in June. I’m a nurse so I always try to spread the word among my friends to check their breasts monthly and to get their exams. It’s actually most important to do the monthly SBEs because a woman is actually more likely to find a lump herself when it is still relatively small if she is familiar with how her breasts normally feel.
Caryn
I just had a baby so I’ve been thoroughly checked. Also, my husband is a physician so he’s got the whole breast check thing down.
Nina “Lois Lane”
I do self checks and pledge to continue to do so ..thanks for the reminder
i had mine done when i found out i was pregnant. 8 months ago. plus i have to get one every year anyway. i’m only 23 but almost all the women in my family on both sides have had breast cancer.
i do monthly self checks. my grandmothers have had breast cancer. so it’s a precaution
I had a breast exam in Feb. and do self checks. Please enter me in the contest.
Thanks for the reminder to do my self-exam this month! I have my yearly exam in May. I have a few breast cancer promo things on my blog…I’ll be adding this now too! What a great cause ladies!!
I have yearly physicals. They are so important! I am glad we have a month dedicated to Breat Cancer Awarness. It is such a sad, and deadly disease. I will help spread the word!
Got my exam done last week, but thanks for the reminder!!!
I pledge, and would love to enter in this!
I just got my first mammogram this week. My mom is a survivor so I have to get them early. It was not nearly as bad as I thought it was going to be and it feels really good to have done it. What a great way to win an awesome prize!
I will make the pledge, now that we are looking to get out I’ll get a full check. Yes, I may be breastfeeding but figured having a thorough examine can’t hurt anyways right? I have heard it runs in the family, so better safe than sorry. What a great reminder!
Thank you somuch for the reminder and sharing this amazing give-away. Just in case I dont win I went onto their website http://www.babydish.com and bought a Hally Dish-n-dat Bag because the proceeds fo to several charities. I spoke to the owner who lost her best friend and she is a great mom business owner.
[...] to blog about the fact that I got my first one last week (not sure how I missed that). Head on over to [...]
Cute! And a good reminder. I’ve got to schedule my first (gasp) mamogram this month.
I pledge to do my monthly self exam. I pledge to get my lazy butt to the doctor for my yearly. I have tried to spread awareness through my website and the products that I make. This issue hits close to home and I appriciate what you are doing here. A little reminder to breast feeding women. You still have to do self exams and be aware of changes in your breasts. Ask your doctor how to do exams while nursing. It might save your life.
Angel, Robinette Design
I pledge I will do my self exam’s every month and look into when I need to start doing mammograms. I want that diaper bag!
I have already done my exam this month. I’ve been a lot more diligent since my grandmother was diagnosed in February of this year.

I pledge to do a self-exam each month (already do it). I do need to make my appt for my yearly one but I have to save up the money to get it done (no insurance).
I blogged your contest too. http://laurawilliamsmusings.blogspot.com/2007/10/saturday-edition-of-contests-galore.html
I had my annual exam last month, and continue my monthly self exams on the first day of each month…
I had my annual exam in September. I pledge to start doing my self exams this month.
thank you for the reminder… I have annual check ups every spring, and I pledge to be more diligent with the monthly exams.
Just called to make my appointment! I do monthly exams but was due for my yearly..
I pledge!……
I always self exam monthly and have a yearly mammogram. My sister is a breast cancer survivor and the mammogram did not show the cancer. She had a sonogram that detected it.
I just had my appointment and had my exam. I try to remember every month to check when I am in the shower.
It is so very important!
When I was preparing to have my Weight Loss Surgery, my yearly mammo had to be done and they found a peanut shaped lump in my left breast. I now have to have an exam every six months and while I don’t enjoy the process I am happy that I found it early enough to take care of it. I pledge to get my exams every six months and to encourage every woman I know to do their self exams and schedule their mammo’s every year! check out the post on my blog http://www.jehovahroi.wordpress.com/2007/10/07/casio-breast-cancer-awareness-and-5-minutes-for-mom/
I had my exam two months ago (every August) and I check myself monthly, hubby always reminds me every week eventhough I have told him once a month is enough. For him and my daughters though I do it every week.
I pledge to keep checking i do it now. I also have my girls do it as we have many friends who have had breast cancer. We have a close friend right now dealing with it she starts radiation and chemo Tuesday. So ladies check check and recheck.
Thanks for entering me and reminding people.
I had my first mammogram this year at the age of 38 (almost 39). I pledge to do it annually from now on!
I will be making my mammo appointment this week. I have been having regular mammos for 7 years now
Audrey,
Thanks for highlighting this very important issue. After my mother was diagnosed with breast cancer, my sister and I began yearly mammograms and never miss. Already had mine this summer. My mom is doing well and I pledge to spread the word for all women.
Tracy
Monthly self-exams are so important! Thanks for the reminder!!
Had mine already! Thanks for spreading the awareness!
I pledge to get my exam this month too. These things always slip my mind. How is it that we, as mothers, make sure to take care of everyone else but ourselves. What would they do without us? I’m going to start the self exams too starting today. I’m ashamed to say, that at 29, I have never done a self exam.
Thanks for caring enough about us all to remind us to take care of ourselves so that we can be here for our families.
Mine’s coming up in January, I’ll be there
I’ll pass it on to my girlfriends too…
Kim
This is such an important reminder – I have been in a 4 year cancer battle myself, although not breast. But during my treatments, I have seen hundreds of women, many of them very young, fighting breast cancer. It can (and does) happen to anyone and the key factor is being diagnosed early.
Just had my exam, and my baseline mammogram is tomorrow morning! How appropriate, no?
It’s great that you guys are doing this giveaway to spread the word.
Thanks!

I had my exam in august!! Everything was awesome! This is a awesome thing ya’ll are doing!!
I just had my exam last month!
Had my exam this year. I have a bit of trouble with the self-exams (I *always* feel lumps, and so does my OB/GYN… we think I’m just kind of lumpy), but I will re-dedicate my efforts.
I do my self exams every month too. I pledge to continue to do so, and to make my appointment. Thanks for putting this all together.
I do self exams and see a natural doctor instead of mammograms!!
Steph
I pledge in honor of my Gramma who beat breast cancer over a decade ago & is still with us! I have an appointment on the 26th this month.
Do I need to post something on my blog about this to be entered?
Hi!
I am making my appointment today!
Love you all!
Nik
Regular self-exams… check!
Exam this past spring… check!
Doctor’s office has self-addressed envelope to send me a reminder card to schedule my next appointment… check!
I pledge to continue doing this… check!!
I do self exams! My mother has breast cancer in her 30s, so I check.
I had a lumpectomy in my early thirties, so every year I have to have a mammogram done. I go in on the 31st of Oct.
I posted too reminding all women no matter their age how important this is.
I pledge to get my mammogram done. I’ve had benign breast tumors before and have had a bit of pain in my left breast again. My doctor sent me an order awhile ago and I just keep putting it off.
Thanks for the extra push I needed to go!
I posted your contest/pledge drive on my blog tonight, btw.
My first mammogram is 10/17
To be honest, I don’t do the self-exams the way I should. I used to, but it just got away from me. This definitely something I have got to change.
I did have my annual exam back in July though. I am only 28, so I do not have mammograms just yet, but as soon as my doctors suggest, I will have them done.
I check myself regularly and also have just had my yearly mammogram. And everything is good. Had my mamogram on 09/27/07
Had a mammo and sono this summer! Already have my next one scheduled.
Had my yearly mammogram on Oct 4th this year.
I check myself monthly and also have had my yearly mammogram.
[...] is Breast Cancer Awareness Month (we are hosting a giveaways and asking women to pledge to be stay on top of their exams). It is Lupus Awareness Month. And Down Syndrome Awareness [...]
I have a history of benign breast cysts (which have been needle biopsied) and I get regular mammograms. I had one earlier this year.
I self-examine often…I always want to have healthy girls :0)
I pledge to do self exams! I also need to make an appointment for my full physical! Thanks for the reminder!
Had my exam in February! Always make it a point with my daughter to have hers done yearly. Oh, and I need to win this, my daughter is having her second girl soon. It is beautiful!!!
all set with mine…will pass on this sooo important message…Thanks
What a terrific idea! I’ve had my exam in the last year. PLUS I’m really good about self exams every month.

Yes I pledge to make an appointment to have the girls checked out and I will tell my friends to do the same! LOL
I had my last mammogram in July of this year. I get one every year, without fail.
I do my self exams every month and I have my appointment scheduled and on my calander right now
This is an amazing bag and I am so proud to display anything that has to do with helping fight breast cancer. I have had so many friends diagnosed with many different types of cancer lately I just wish they would find a cure for any of them!
I would be proud to use this bag. Breast cancer prevetion is so important. I always do a monthly examination and gave a mammogram. This bag is also a great reminder to be extra careful and do everything you can to prevent breast cancer.
What an awesome idea!
Just had my exam in September. Thanks for the contest!
Thank you for the reminder. I will get in soon. I am 41 so i need to do the whole shabang…thanks too for the great give a way.
Please join us at http://www.blessednest.blogspot.com
for our Pink October give a way !!
I already had my appointment this year in April.
Due to family history, I’ve already got 2 of those mammos done and always (well mostly always) do the monthly exam.
The bag is a fabulous reminder to others and I would be proud to carry it as an out and about mom to remind others about breast cancer prevention.
Because breast cancer is what has taken too many family members away from me, I will pledge to self examine weekly. I will ecourage my sister to do the same!
I just had my exam a few days ago. My mom is a BC survivor so I make a point of keeping up with this.
I do self exams regularly! also mamogram in december…thanks for highlighting this …
betty
Yes, yes, yes… definitely yes. I am an 11 year breast cancer survivor. My cancer was found early because of my annual, routine exam. I am now married and the mother of a beautiful little boy. So, I am all for getting exams and mammograms…. it is SO worth it…..!!!!
I will self-examine monthly.
Self Exams are the bomb!
I give myself an exam each month and go yearly to my doctor. My aunt is a survivor and I know how important it is to catch early.
I do my BSE on the 1st of every month. My annual exam is scheduled for Nov 20. Thanks for the reminder!
I have an appointment at the end of this Month!! Thanks for the great way to get everyone to get checked!!
This is AWESOME!!!
i promise to spread the word about how very important self breast exams are!! thanks!
I had mine in July and go every year loyaly. My niece is due with her baby girl in two days and I would love to give this to her as a gift!!!
I’m going to do my exam now–thank you for reminding so many of us!!

I pledge to a monthly self-exam and I had my annual exam in August. Thank you guys!
What an awesome diaper bag and for such a great cause. I pledge to monthly self exam, and I’m getting checked next month.- Liz http://www.dixon7.wordpress.com or http://www.dixonquads.com
I pledge to do the monthly self exam and am getting checked next month. This cause is so dear to us as the daughter of a breast cancer survivor. Dont forget about the men in your life. My uncle and aunt shared the same breast cancer doctor.
Thank you for the chance to increase awareness and what a great visual way especially as a mom to be!
I’ve had my annual exam and need to get on the ball with my bse. So I pledge to do so on the 7th of every month (my daughter was born on May 7th)
I love this bag! I try to buy anything that helps support breast cancer. I am also pregnant with my first baby (due in Feb) and I would be honored to carry this bag. I PLEDGE to start giving myself a self-breast exam. I will do this on the 11th of each month. Thank you for reminding me to make this pledge!!!
I love this bag…I’m preggers with baby #1 so I need it! I self examine every month and pledge to passs it along to all the girls I know!! You know your body best and can tell if something does not feel right.
I got an exam back in March, And will get another in 2 weeks!
I do monthly exams and have had mine within a year…
I am a breast cancer survivor of 7 years and I have regular checks and self exam all the time. I found out I had breast cancer at age 28 while pregnant with my son. He and I both survived chemo, surgery and numerous tests. Then after he was born prematurely I had more chemo, surgery and radition. I am so lucky to be here with a healthy seven year old boy. Miraculously, chemo did not kill my fertility abilities and I now how a healthy 8 month old baby girl.
So PLEASE check yourselves every week and don’t take “it’s nothing to worry about” if you find a lump and the doctor doesn’t seem to think it is a big deal. Get tested and know for sure. Your life may depend on it. Mine sure did. Take care of those tatas, ladies! Many blessings!
BTW – I love this bag!!!!!!
[...] 5) In honor of October being Breast Cancer Awareness Month, enter to win a special BabyDish “Hally Bag” Pink Ribbon Baby-Be-Ready Diaper Bag Survival Kit. [...]
My Mother is a Survivor of Breast Cancer so in honour of her I do self exams once a month and fundraise year round for the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation. I’ve wanted to book a mammogram but have been told that it is not necessary at my age (31) – huh? I will continue to try to book one.
BTW, an interesting fact is that men get breast cancer too and 2 out of 9 men die each year due to it! So Ladies and Men – let’s all feel our boobs
Ya, know since I turned 30 this year, I do need to start being more aware of my self exams. I will…
)
Had the exam…Oct. 4th.
I had my yearly check-up in the last year.
Great gift, will make more people aware. Thanks.
This is an awesome way to pay tribute to those who have lost their battle with cancer. A friend of mine lost his mom 2 years ago to breast cancer. It was an extremely hard experience, even as just the friend, to deal with. Thanks for the reminder to have a breast exam. I have done mine!!
I self exam every month!!
I pledge to self exam every month! I have a dear friend who is fighting BC right now, I will do it for her, my boys and my family.
I had my examine this month.
